Carlisle have announced a third inspection at 12pm ahead of this afternoon’s National Hunt fixture.
With overnight temperatures having dropped to minus 3C, clerk of the course Andrew Tulloch is hoping for improvement after staging two previous assessments during the morning.
“We are going to have another look at 12pm as there are still parts of the course frozen,” said Tulloch.
“We hope the temperatures continue to improve. They are doing so at the moment, albeit only slightly.
“It is 3C at the moment and if it rises still further I’d hope we’d be OK, we are still three hours away from the first race so we are giving it every chance.”
