Huntingdon on frost alert

Huntingdon’s meeting on Thursday is subject to an 8am precautionary inspection on raceday morning.

Although the Cambridgeshire track has hitherto escaped frost, a colder-than-expected night could leave a question mark hanging over the fixture.

Clerk of the course Andrew Morris reported: “We’ve been forecast frost all week, but we’ve not had any.

“But we are due to get minus 1C, and tomorrow is forecast to be quite a cold day.

“If temperatures were to dip any lower we might have a problem.”
