All-clear for Huntingdon
Today’s meeting at Huntingdon goes ahead after the track passed a morning inspection.
Officials had been concerned about the threat of frost but clerk of the course Andrew Morris said: “We’re going ahead.
“Temperatures fell to -3C at 7pm last night but it then clouded over and temperatures rose steadily up to 6am this morning, where it was above freezing.
“We’re currently 1C, there’s no frost in the ground and we are looking forward to a good day. We’re thrilled.”
What looks an informative seven-race card gets under way at 1.20pm and is due to feature leading Cheltenham contenders Mille Chief and Mighty Man.
