Waterlogging claims Chepstow card

Tomorrow's meeting at Chepstow has been abandoned due to a waterlogged track.

Clerk of the course Keith Ottesen called an 8am inspection as the track was struggling following further rain on Wednesday on top of the thawed snow from the lengthy cold spell.

He said: "We have abandoned. We are still waterlogged and there is insufficient time for the track to recover.

"We had 12 millimetres of rain yesterday and it's just not going to be safe to race.

"We also had snow yesterday which didn't help and the rain which is forecast for tonight is irrelevant really."
