Ludlow check

Officials at Ludlow have called a precautionary inspection for 12 noon today ahead of tomorrow’s meeting.

The Shropshire venue has seen some snow this morning and clerk of the course Bob Davies is keen to assess conditions later in the day.

He said: “We have a slight covering of snow, about an inch and a half so far, and we have more forecast.

“It’s very carefully balanced with the temperatures as to what we will get and you can’t rely on the forecast.

“We will just have a look later and see where we are.”
