All systems go for Plumpton
Plumpton have survived an 8am inspection ahead of Monday’s National Hunt fixture.
Although the course was waterlogged in places on Saturday, the East Sussex venue has been dry since midnight.
With surface water no longer present on the track, clerk of the course Mark Cornford sees no need to inspect again.
He said: ``It looked a horrible picture yesterday - we've had 21mm of rain in 24 hours - but things have improved a great deal.
“We wouldn’t want any more rain, mind you, but there’s none forecast.
“There’s water in the ground, but it’s not as heavy as Plumpton can get.”
