Lingfield check
Lingfield’s all-weather meeting on Wednesday is subject to a precautionary 6.30am inspection due to the threat of snow.
Although today’s meeting goes ahead without a problem, the overnight forecast suggests more snow will be hitting the south of England.
Clerk of the course Neil MacKenzie Ross said: “We are in a strange situation in that there is no threat at all to today’s meeting yet we are inspecting tomorrow.
“It’s the same reason as last week really, the outlying areas could be the problem so we’ll just see how much we get.
“Hopefully it is more like wet sleet than real snow but there is the risk of a few inches. Temperatures are due to rise at the end of the week thankfully.”
