Wincanton given green light

This afternoon’s fixture at Wincanton has been given the all-clear following a morning inspection.

Officials at the Somerset circuit delivered the positive news after a frost-free night.

Clerk of the course Barry Johnson said: “It got to 2C overnight and by by midnight it was 5C.

“All the frost in the ground is out and racing goes ahead.”

Wincanton’s official going is currently soft.
