Promising three-year-old hurdler Pistolet Noir has joined the Paul Nicholls stable after being bought privately out of Nick Williams' yard by Andy Stewart and Paul Roy.

The three-year-old looked a decent prospect when he won the Grade Two Prestbury Juvenile Novice's Hurdle at Cheltenham a month ago on his second start over jumps.

"He turned up at the Paul Nicholls yard this morning, I believe," said Stewart.

"We'll probably give him a spin at Cheltenham in the Triumph Hurdle trial at the end of January.

"He'll also have an entry in the Finale Hurdle at Chepstow on Welsh National day which has been very lucky for us, although it might be a bog and he has got Cheltenham experience under his belt. Paul will need a few days to get him organised."
