Native primed for Christmas cracker
Noel Meade says it is “all systems go” with Go Native for the Christmas Hurdle at Kempton and the second leg of the WBX.COM Triple Crown.
Last season’s Supreme Novices’ Hurdle winner hacked up at Newcastle, turning a star-studded renewal of the Fighting Fifth Hurdle into a procession and leaving the likes of Sublimity, Solwhit and Binocular trailing in his wake.
Go Native is currently trading at around the 26-1 mark on wbx.com to become the first horse to win the £1m bonus if he can supplement his win at Newcastle by winning also at Kempton and Cheltenham.
“We have been delighted with Go Native since he returned from the Fighting Fifth,” said Meade.
“He has not done a lot of work since but has gone very well at home and Davy Condon will take the ride again.
“Beforehand I was worried about the potential lack of pace in the race but he coped and I was very impressed with him.
“It is all systems go now for Kempton.”
