Delegator disqualification confirmed
Godolphin’s Delegator has been formally disqualified from the totesport.com Celebration Mile at Goodwood in August.
The Dansili colt ran out an impressive winner of the Group Two contest but a urine sample was later found to contain methylprednisolone, which is a prohibited substance.
The British Horseracing Authority disciplinary panel considered the evidence and was satisfied that the source of the substance was an injection of 20mg of Depo-Medrone.
The panel accepted an admission from bin Suroor that he was in breach of Rule 53 of the Rules of Racing and imposed a fine of £750 upon him.
Delegator’s disqualification means Zacinto has now been placed first in the Goodwood event.
