Punchestown fit for racing
This afternoon's meeting at Punchestown, featuring the Grade One John Durkan Memorial Chase, will go ahead as scheduled.
Heavy rain in the area forced course officials to call a 7.30am inspection on Saturday but the meeting will go ahead as planned.
The ground remains heavy with the first race at 12.35pm.
Irish Turf Club press officer Cliff Noone said: "They didn't have much rain overnight which was good news, they only had spits and spots.
"Obviously the going is still pretty heavy but thankfully they didn't get as much as was forecast."
