Master could be set busy schedule

Master Minded’s owner Clive Smith says the dual Queen Mother Champion Chase winner will be kept pretty busy this season.

The gelding makes an early return to the track in Sunday’s Connaught Chase at Cheltenham, which is a prep-run before next month’s Tingle Creek at Sandown.

Smith said: “He loves Cheltenham and seems to run as well there as anywhere. Master Minded is in great form according to Paul Nicholls.

“He likes a lot of work – Paul has to exercise him all the time.

“He works every day but during the summer he goes out in the field alongside Denman, Big Buck’s and Kauto Star.

“We feel he wants races – he may have six this season if he stays in good form.”
