The Flat meeting at Leopardstown this afternoon, featuring the November Handicap, has been abandoned due to waterlogging.

The card was thought to be in no danger overnight with a going description of yielding to soft, soft in places.

However a downfall that brought 23 millimetres of rain since midnight has left the course unraceable.

"Unfortunately the rain they have had overnight has left them with no chance," said Cliff Noone, press officer for the Irish Turf Club.

The Killinick Harriers point-to-point at Lingstown in Co Wexford has also been cancelled due to waterlogging.
