Ebadiyan close to return
Oliver Brady aims to get Ebadiyan back on the track in about three weeks to start a season he hopes will culminate in a crack at the Smurfit Kappa Champion Hurdle.
The grey gelding was a Grade Three winner at Punchestown last winter but crashed through the rails and ran out at the second-last in the Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.
āHeās really going well worked and worked lovely at Navan last Wednesday,ā the County Monaghan trainer told At The Races.
āHeās a little bit short as yet, but heās in great form and everything is pointing in the right way.
āThe Champion Hurdle is the one, but Iām not in a big rush with him because itās a long way to March.
āHeās not a no-hoper (in the Champion Hurdle). Heās strengthened well and heās doing well.
āYouāll see him within three weeks, but Iām not sure which race heāll be going to yet.
āOne more piece of work and heāll be ready to do himself justice.
āIād like to think heāll win first time out when we get him out.ā
