Stoute dismisses Conduit rumours

Michael Stoute has confirmed there to be no current problems with Conduit despite rumours about his well-being.

The winner of the this year’s King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes is being aimed at back-to-back triumphs in the Breeders’ Cup Turf but drifted in the betting with some firms during the day.

Conduit was most recently seen finishing fourth to Sea The Stars in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.

“We are not aware of any problems with Conduit,” the trainer said.

“He was just a bit colicky on Friday night but it has settled down and he has cantered since.”
