Sea the Stars handed lucky stall six for Arc
John Oxx expressed himself "happy" with the draw after Sea The Stars was handed stall six in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp on Sunday.
That very berth has been a lucky omen in recent years, with Hurricane Run (2005) and Dylan Thomas (2007) breaking from the same stall.
With a bumper field of 19 going to post following the last-minute withdrawal of Aidan O'Brien's Johann Zoffany, the draw could have been a very different proposition for Oxx's superstar.
Oxx said: "I'm happy with stall six."
O'Brien's Fame And Glory, second to Sea The Stars in the Derby and in the Irish Champion Stakes, is in stall 10 while Sir Michael Stoute's Conduit is further out in stall 12.
Mick Channon's Youmzain, second in the last two renewals, will break from stall one, which proved lucky for Zarkava when she beat him last year.
Prince of Wales's Stakes winner Vision D'Etat is in stall nine, while German challenger Getaway is in three.
John Gosden's Dar Re Mi is looking for redemption after her demotion in the Prix Vermeille and is in stall two.
However Andre Fabre's Cavalryman has been handed stall 19 out of 19.
