Ogee set for Sunday outing
Ogee will attempt to remain unbeaten over fences in the A&S Enterprises Ltd Novices’ Chase at Uttoxeter on Sunday.
Renee Robeson’s gelding took a while to come into his own over hurdles before causing something of a surprise in the Grade One Sefton Novices’ Hurdle at Aintree’s Grand National meeting.
He has been switched to the sticks this season and made a winning debut at Bangor this month, beating R De Rien Sivola and King’s Forest in a competitive event for the time of year.
“It was a huge relief to see how well he jumped, but he had done a lot of schooling,” said Robeson, who trains near Newport Pagnell in Buckinghamshire.
“He is very well and we are hoping to run on Sunday.”
