Officials at Epsom have been forced to abandon the two scheduled sprints on Saturday’s card due to unstable turf.

Although there are no problems on the round course, chafer grubs have been eating away at part of the course near the five-furlong start and as a result, clerk of the course Andrew Cooper has been forced to call off the two minimum-distance contests.
