Moore confident of big Mile run
Stan Moore believes Lady Darshaan will not be disgraced in the Meon Valley Stud Fillies’ Mile at Ascot on Saturday.
The daughter of High Chaparral steps up both in class and distance for the Group One over a mile after finishing third in the Cherry Hinton Stakes on her latest start in July.
“She’s in good form, she’s been working well and she’s grown and matured since her run at Newmarket,” said the Upper Lambourn trainer.
“She’s a big filly which is why we’ve been looking at a semi backend campaign with her.
“I think she’ll stay the mile, she’s in the Rockfel as well and she’s a filly with a lot of class. She’ll be able to mix it with them no problem.
“She ran a good race on the Cherry Hinton she didn’t have a good draw, had to be dropped out and make her bid on the other side. She has plenty of class and deserves her chance.
“She won’t mind the fast ground.”
