Deal bids for triple strike at Ascot
Strike The Deal could try to complete his hat-trick in Sunday’s John Guest Diadem Stakes at Ascot.
Jeremy Noseda’s sprinter is having a super September, having already chalked up wins in the Listed Scarbrough Stakes at Doncaster and Newbury’s Group Three Dubai Duty Free World Trophy.
He has been partnered by Kieren Fallon on both occasions and Noseda wants the six-times champion to be in the plate again in this Group Two contest.
“The chances are Strike The Deal will take his place in the Diadem Stakes. Hopefully, Kieren Fallon will ride,” the trainer told www.jeremynoseda.com.
“The horse seems in great order and should get his preferred fast ground, so the plan is to give it a go.
“I have been delighted with his last two performances and think that a complete change of tactics – dropping him out – along with Kieren striking up a good relationship with him has meant the horse is running with a lot of confidence.
“We are hoping that Kieren will renew his association with him on Sunday and that he can cope with the step back up in class.”
