Firebet to leave Fahey yard for Dubai
Firebet has been anonymously purchased out of Richard Fahey’s yard to race in Dubai.
The improving three-year-old will continue his racing tutelage overseas after a deal was struck with the colt’s connections.
Bloodstock agent Anthony Stroud said: “I bought him for a Dubai client who wants to run him at the Carnival.
“He’s been a very well-trained horse and I feel very sorry for Richard Fahey that he has to lose him.
“He’ll have a little bit of a break and then he’ll go out there.”
Firebet represented North Yorkshire-based Fahey just five times, winning on four occasions, having previously been in the care of Ann Duffield.
His hitherto finest hour, however, came in defeat when the son of Dubai Destination finished a length and three-quarters behind Harbinger in the Gordon Stakes.
