Misheer plans up in the air

Connections of Misheer will regroup and formulate a plan of attack for the Cherry Hinton Stakes winner after testing conditions ruled her out of the Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh yesterday.

Connections of Misheer will regroup and formulate a plan of attack for the Cherry Hinton Stakes winner after testing conditions ruled her out of the Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh yesterday.

The Royal Ascot runner-up was pencilled in for a trip to Ireland in bid to follow up trainer Clive Brittain’s 1992 success with Sayyedati.

However, that idea was scrapped due to the heavy ground and owner Saeed Manana’s racing manager Bruce Raymond is unsure of their next step.

He said: “I have not had a chance to talk to Clive yet, but there doesn’t seem to be any races open to her before the Cheveley Park (October 2).

“We will have to have a look at the programme book as I don’t know where she could go at the moment.

“She did win on soft ground at York but running on ground like it was at the Curragh and can tear them to pieces.

“The Breeders’ Cup isn’t out of the question, but we’ll have to see what Clive thinks.”
