Gladiatorus will miss the Arlington Million after sustaining a bruised foot.

The four-year-old has been off the track since flopping in the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot but was due to return in the Grade One race at Arlington Park on August 8.

However, Godolphin trainer Saeed bin Suroor will now try to prepare the Silic colt for a run in France later in the month after this setback.

Godolphin’s racing manager Simon Crisford said: “Gladiatorus was diagnosed with a corn in his foot and therefore will miss the Arlington Million.

“We hope that he will recover in time to run in the Jacques Le Marois at Deauville on August 16,” he told www.godolphin.com.
