Cara's up for the Cup
Admirable stayer Caracciola features among a final field of 10 runners in the Coutts Goodwood Cup on Thursday.
The 12-year-old has been in the form of his life so far this season, having secured a Listed success at York before trouncing the opposition in the Queen Alexandra Stakes at Royal Ascot.
He temporarily runs for trainer Barry Hills later this week, with regular handler Nicky Henderson currently serving a three-month suspension.
Godolphin have left in Friston Forest and Schiaparelli, although the latter will only run if the ground is suitable, while Marcus Tregoning’s Askar Tau makes his first start of the campaign.
Jane Chapple-Hyam’s Royal Ascot winner Judgethemoment is also an interesting contender.
Centennial, Enroller, Mourilyan, The Betchworth Kid and Tungsten Strike complete the field.
