Asset ruled out

Godolphin’s Asset has been withdrawn from Tuesday’s Betfair Cup at Glorious Goodwood.

The former Richard Hannon inmate has been declared a non-runner due to lameness.

His absence represents a double blow for trainer Saeed bin Suroor, who has also had to take out Parthenon from tomorrow’s Gordon Stakes.

The three-year-old colt is also lame.
