Midday still in Nassau mix
Midday will bid to put her run in the Darley Irish Oaks behind her in next month’s Blue Square Nassau Stakes at Goodwood.
Henry Cecil’s filly was a narrow second to Sariska in the Oaks at Epsom but was no match for the same rival at the Curragh, coming in a distant third.
She will now attempt to become Cecil’s sixth winner of the Nassau.
Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager to her owner Prince Khalid Abdullah, said: “We are looking at the Blue Square Nassau Stakes for Midday.
“She has come out of her run at the Curragh in good order and I think it was just a question of the ground being too heavy for her there.”
