Sesenta in frame for Galway
Ascot Stakes runner-up Sesenta is likely to take up her entry in the Arthur Guinness Galway Hurdle on July 30.
Willie Mullins’ five-year-old has improved back on the level this summer and would appear to hold leading claims.
Mullins is still learning about the diminutive mare, but believes she is still improving over hurdles.
“She’ll be going to Galway. She’s in the Galway Hurdle and I’m looking for a Flat race for her if the ground is soft enough,” said Mullins.
“She’s on 10st 11lb, which is just all right. If the weights go up I’m not sure if I’d run her, but she’s in great form. She’s holding her form really well.
“I think she is still improving, we are just really finding out about her and our tactics are getting better with her.
“Considering how the race was run she ran a tremendous race at Ascot,” he told At the Races.
Sesenta is 9-1 joint-second favourite with William Hill, behind Paul Nicholls’ 8-1 jolly Classic Swain.
