Tawaabb, third in the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot, faces 10 rivals as he bids to go a couple of places better in Thursday’s TNT July Stakes at Newmarket.
Mick Channon’s charge was beaten two and a half lengths by Radiohead over the minimum trip at the Royal meeting, but switches to six furlongs for this Group Two prize.
Brian Meehan, trainer of Radiohead, fields Arcano, who won on his debut at Newbury.
Tom Dascombe, who sent out Classic Blade to win last year, bids to follow up with Orpen Grey.
Clive Brittain has opted to send dual winner Niran for this race, rather than wait for the seven-furlong Meydan Superlative Stakes on Friday.
“It was touch and go whether we went over six or seven furlongs with him but when the rain came, it made me decide to opt for six,” explained Brittain.
“He has not looked that impressive in winning twice but he has won and that’s all he can do.
“He would have gone to Ascot for the Coventry but he wasn’t quite right so we’ll see what we have here rather than at Ascot.
“The two-year-olds have been running well all year and they seem a nice bunch.”
Angel’s Pursuit, Diamond Johnny G, Nosedive, Ghostwing, Noble Greek and Red Jazz complete the line-up.
