Dwyer firmly in the Hunt

The consistent Mia’s Boy will bid for the big victory he deserves in the Royal Hunt Cup on Wednesday.

Chris Dwyer’s five-year-old has been knocking on the door all season without success, having won five times last term.

He is one of 64 confirmations for the cavalry charge, for which Paddy Power make him a 16-1 chance behind Jeremy Noseda’s 5-1 favourite Forgotten Voice.

“Mia’s Boy has come out of his last race very well and he has been moving well since York,” said Dwyer.

“He didn’t get jarred at all and I am quite happy with him.

“The mile is his best trip and I’m hoping for good or good to firm ground. Good, fast ground is perfect for him.”

John Gosden’s Cadre has proved popular with the punters in recent days.
