Tomorrow's meeting at Wetherby is subject to a second inspection at 4pm later today, it has been announced.

Officials had a look at 8am due to very fast ground at the West Yorkshire track.

The watering system malfunctioned on Tuesday and the very hot weather recently means the going is now firm, hard in places.

Clerk of the course Jonjo Sanderson said: "We are firm, hard in places now after another hot day yesterday.

"However, our watering system is now back up and running and we will be watering throughout the rest of today.

"We will have another inspection at 4pm and if there is no significant improvement no doubt the appropriate decision will be made."
