Connections consider Again options
Connections of Again will wait until later in the week before finalising plans for the filly following her victory in the Boylesports.com Irish 1000 Guineas.
The daughter of Danehill Dancer, who runs in the colours of Michael Tabor, was trimmed to around 7-1 for the Investec Oaks immediately after her success in the Curragh Classic on Sunday.
However, she was declared a uncertain starter for the Epsom showpiece as the race on Friday week may come too soon after her first run of the season on testing ground.
Other contests being considered in the next two months include the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot on June 19, the Pretty Polly Stakes on June 27 and the Darley Irish Oaks on July 12, both back at the Curragh.
“She seems to have come out of her race fine and we’re happy with her,” said trainer David Wachman, who was celebrating his first Classic victory.
“We’ll see how she is over the next couple of days before we make any hard and fast decisions.
“The owners will look at where their other horses are going and we’ll see what suits everybody.
“It was very holding ground yesterday, so it was tough for any horse.”
