Henry Cecil is keeping his fingers crossed conditions at Newbury do not become too fast ahead of Twice Over’s likely run in the Juddmonte Lockinge Stakes on Saturday.

The four-year-old was a beaten odds-on favourite when third in the Earl of Sefton Stakes at Newmarket last month, but Cecil feels his charge can put up an improved showing if there is some give underfoot.
