Apple team consider options

Unbeaten three-year-old Apple Charlotte is to take another step up the ladder at either York or Newbury on Friday.

Trained by Henry Cecil and owned by De La Warr Racing, Apple Charlotte is entered in the 10-furlong Swettenham Stud Fillies’ Trial Stakes at Newbury and in the Michael Seely Memorial Fillies’ Stakes over a mile at the Knavesmire.

Also engaged in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot, the daughter of Royal Applause has won her two starts so far, the most recent in a conditions race at the same course two weeks ago.

“She is in at Newbury and at York and we really need to sit down and assess the two races,” said De La Warr racing manager Ed Sackville. She is a potentially nice filly, she is ready to run and we just need to look carefully and decide which is the most suitable for her.”
