Geraghty suffers broken wrist
Barry Geraghty could be out of action for up six weeks after sustaining a broken wrist at Punchestown yesterday.
The jockey suffered the injury after taking a heavy fall from Colm Murphy’s Zaarito in the Star Best For Racing Coverage Novice Hurdle.
Agent Ciaran O’Toole said: “He’s in plaster and has cracked his wrist.
“An injury like that usually means he’s likely to be out for between five to six weeks.”
Geraghty gave up his book of rides at Punchestown on Saturday, and missed out on a high-profile winner when Murphy’s Voler La Vedette landed the Grade Three Irish TBA EBF Mares Hurdle.
