The 100/1 outsider Mon Mome, trained by Venetia Williams and ridden by Liam Treadwell, has won today's Grand National at Aintree by several lengths.

Mon Mome stayed on powerfully in the hands of Liam Treadwell to spring a 100-1 shock in the John Smith’s Grand National at Aintree.

The Venetia Williams-trained nine-year-old moved into the race soon after turning for home and began to stretch away from his rivals after jumping the final obstacle.
