Coral strike Eclipse deal
Coral have agreed a three-year extension to their sponsorship of Sandown’s Eclipse Stakes, taking their association with the race to 36 years.
The bookmakers have also signed up to back the six supporting races for the first time and will include the 2011 running.
“Everyone at Coral is extremely proud of our long and historic relationship with the Eclipse Stakes and this three-year deal demonstrates our commitment to take this prestigious race to even greater heights,” said Simon Clare, the firm’s trading and PR director.
Coral first sponsored the Eclipse Stakes in 1976 when Wollow was awarded the race following the disqualification of Trepan.
