Turner injured in gallops fall
Hayley Turner is undergoing tests in hospital after a fall on the Newmarket gallops this morning.
The jockey, who became the first woman to ride 100 British winners in a year in 2008, was riding work for Phil McEntee when she took a tumble.
Turner was believed to have been knocked unconscious during the accident but did walk to the ambulance and is currently undergoing further tests in Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.
