Irish snatch two more wins on Sunshine Tour
Wexford's Dave Quigley picked up his second win in a row at the Spanish Sunshine Tour near Cadiz today while Cian O'Connor notched up his first victory of the show.
This was the second day that Irish riders claimed two classes at the three-star event, and although Paul O'Shea failed to repeat his Friday win, he was just two places behind Quigley in the Accumulator class.
Meath-based O'Connor steered Joe Sloane's 13 year-old mare 'ABC Loreen' to a win in the speed class, comfortably seeing off British runner-up Robert Maguire with almost two seconds in hand.
Thirty six year-old Quigley brought out Charles Britton's 'Sabatini' for its second win in 24 hours in the Accumulator competition, and Paul O'Shea, who tasted victory with 'Shannondale Macalla' yesterday - slotted Ronnie Hollinger's 'Camiro de Haar Z' into third.
In the big 1m50 Accumulator class, meanwhile, Ivan Dalton managed a tenth place this evening with 'Uline'.
