Cooldine takes Moriarty Chase

Willie Mullins was triumphant as Cooldine made much of the running to get back on the winning trail in the Dr. P.J Moriarty Novice Chase, giving Ruby Walsh a double on the card.

The 9-4 chance travelled and jumped zestfully throughout the two-mile five-furlong contest but looked in trouble as Forpadydeplasterer loomed up as a big danger on the run to the final fence.

The two of them jumped the obstacle together but it was Cooldine who dug deep into his stamina reserves to claim a two-and-a-half-length success.

Victor Chandler make Cooldine their 6-1 favourite from 8-1 for the RSA Chase at Cheltenham, while they were impressed enough with the runner-up to cut him to 8-1 from 12-1 for the Arkle Trophy.

William Hill and Paddy Power also make the winner 6-1 for Cheltenham glory, while the former have Forpadydeplasterer at 14-1 from 20-1 for the same race.
