Uttoxeter to go ahead

This afternoon's National Hunt fare at Uttoxeter has been given the go-ahead.

Clerk of the course Keith Ottesen ditched plans for an 8.30am inspection - despite overnight temperatures falling below minus-two degrees.

Ottesen said: "There's a very light surface frost but it (frost) has not got into the ground and we are fine.

"My team has done a hell of a job this week to ensure this meeting is on - they deserve all the credit."
