Chepstow jumps out of the cold
Today’s meeting at Chepstow has been given the go-ahead following a second inspection.
Officials at the Monmouthshire venue had been forced to check again at 10am after their 8.30am proved inconclusive because of frost.
The weather showed a “dramatic improvement” in the meantime, however, with any fears the meeting might be lost thankfully dispelled.
“Racing goes ahead,” confirmed clerk of the course Tim Long.
“We’ve has quite a dramatic improvement in the last hour.
“The track is raceable, so we’re on.”
