Hennessy card in jeopardy

Sunday’s big meeting at Leopardstown, featuring the Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup, is under threat from severe weather conditions.

Snow earlier in the week, followed by rain and then more snow today, has led to the announcement of a lunchtime inspection at the Dublin track.

“The inspection is going to start very shortly and we should have news after one o’clock,” said general manager Tom Burke.

“We’re getting some snow again, which we weren’t expecting.”
