Inspection due at Lingfield
Officials at Lingfield have announced a 4pm inspection for this afternoon to assess the prospects of racing on Monday.
Conditions at the Surrey venue are currently unraceable after being hit by frost overnight and with the situation unlikely to improve greatly, clerk of the course Neil MacKenzie Ross is downbeat.
"Unfortunately things are not looking too promising at the moment and we are currently heavy, frozen in places," said MacKenzie Ross.
"We got down to just below freezing last night but there is still so much moisture in the ground, it doesn't take much to freeze the exposed areas.
"We are going to have an inspection at 4pm and reassess the situation then but temperatures are not due to get much above plus two today.
"We are then expecting further frost and snow so we will just have to see how it goes."
