Eddery takes assistant role
Paul Eddery has been appointed assistant trainer to his brother Pat but will also continue his career in the saddle.
He has ridden over 1,500 winners during a 30-year spell, including two July Cups on Cadeaux Genereux and Owington and a Lockinge Stakes on Prismatic.
“I’m really enjoying being assistant to Pat. I’ve ridden work for him since he started and Pat offered me the position of assistant, which I was delighted to accept,” said the Newmarket-based jockey.
“I’ve no immediate plans to retire from the saddle but obviously I can’t go on for ever, so this was a long-term opportunity which seemed perfect.”
