Command performance by Theatre
Actor Jimmy Nesbitt has plenty to get excited about with Riverside Theatre as his horse continued on winning ways at Kempton today.
The 'Cold Feet' star was present at the track to see the 10-11 favourite in action in division one of the Calverts Carpets Novicesā Hurdle.
A decent second on his first start over hurdles, winning bumper performer Riverside Theatre had little trouble in beating Hectorās Choice by four and a half lengths but it looks uncertain as to whether he will be treading the boards at the Cheltenham Festival.
āThat wasnāt his ground and I am sure he will be very nice ā he is very nice but heās going to be even better when he is stronger,ā said trainer Nicky Henderson.
āIād had half a mind to put him away after this but Iām not sure. I donāt want to use him up.ā
Victor Chandler introduced the winner at 25-1 for the Supreme Novicesā Hurdle.
