Market Rasen for check

Sunday’s meeting at Market Rasen must pass a 7.30am precautionary inspection.

Clerk of the course Nick Patton has made the call due to an unfavourable overnight forecast.

“We have already had 4mm of rain, but the forecast is for extremely stormy weather so we need to have a look,” said Patton.

“There are a few problem areas and we might be in trouble if we go 10mm of rain.

“It is important to call an early-morning inspection to give people as much notice as possible.”
