Folkestone gets go-ahead

This afternoon’s meeting at Folkestone goes ahead as scheduled.

Clerk of the course Neil MacKenzie Ross ditched plans for a 7.30am precautionary inspection after a frost-free night at the Kent circuit.

MacKenzie Ross said: “The thaw has come at the right time for us.

“We’ve had 8mm rain overnight, which has also helped.”

The going is soft, heavy in places on the hurdles track and good to soft, soft in places on the chase course.
