The West Yorkshire venue has been hit by severe frost over the last couple of weeks but a recent thaw means the track is currently raceable.

However, temperatures could dip as low as minus four overnight and clerk of the course Jonjo Sanderson felt it prudent to take a look.

“We are going to have a look in the morning. We had temperatures around zero overnight with a forecast of plus two today,” said Sanderson.

“We are forecast anything between zero and minus four tonight with most forecasts consistently saying it will at least get down to minus two.

“It wouldn’t be perfect ground but we would have raced today and we are starting again from a level playing field so to speak. It’s all on the forecast again now.”
