Cloudy Lane set for Haydock outing
Grand National hopeful Cloudy Lane will have his next start at Haydock in the Peter Marsh Chase on January 17.
The Trevor Hemmings-owned nine-year-old rattled off a hat-trick last winter before being sent off joint-favourite for the Aintree spectacular, where he came home sixth.
The big race is the plan once again after a fine third-place finish behind Nozic and Tidal Bay in the Rowland Meyrick over Christmas.
“He ran a nice race but I still think there is a little bit of improvement to come for whatever reason,” said his trainer Donald McCain.
